First Message from the Delivery Specialist
First Message from the Delivery Specialist ===========================================
I got my first email from my delivery specialist! After the initial salutation and introduction, it continued:
Your Model X is set to enter production by the very beginning of March and is expected to be ready for delivery at the end of the month.. We are excited to get you behind the wheel!
So that we are ready when your Tesla is, just a few items to cover:
I. Trade
a. I would hold off on doing the inspection of the trade until the first week of March, as the value won't hold until delivery otherwise. If you are interested in dropping the trade off early, we can start that process now. We will need to have a confirmed value on the trade to request any final documents.
II. Registration
a. We are currently geared up to register new Electric Vehicle plates for your Tesla.
b. At your convenience, please send over a photo or scan of your driver's license. We will use that for registration. The uploaded documents appear to all be the insurance info.
c. Once we have a final delivery date set. I would recommend to follow up with your insurance to ensure the Tesla is added to your policy.
III. Payments
a. Once we have a confirmed value on the trade and know the amount for financing, we can request the final purchase paperwork for the bank. Attached is an initial price sheet to help with setting up the 3rd party financing. This document does not include the trade value or account for any sales tax benefit of a trade.
IV. Delivery Day!
a. While we won't be able to lock anything down until your vehicle is built and on the way to Massachusetts, I would feel comfortable setting up a tentative pickup and orientation appointment at Tesla Dedham for the week of 3/26. We will narrow things down once your car is on the way to Dedham.
Please let us know if there are any further questions or concerns.
I initially only skimmed the eMail; it wasn't until I came back to reading it that I realized it'd actually been at all personalized:

Sure enough, I'd originally uploaded the same file in a couple places so I could otherwise submit the form. The rest of it looked fairly cookie-cutter, for instance he completely ignored that I'd already asked for an appraisal on my WRX in order to determine whether I'd want to find a private buyer or otherwise handle its disposition.
